RECIPE FOR MANGO LASSI
2 large fully ripen mangoes (about 430g) – peeled, removed and cut into chunks
8 tbsp plain yoghurt (note 1)
4 tbsp milk (preferably chilled)
6 small ice cubes (or crushed ice)
3 tbsp honey (more or less, depending on the type of mango)
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Adjust the sweetness if necessary. Pour into individual glasses and serve immediately. If not, keep in the refrigerator for later consumption. Best to be consumed within a day.
- I used Greek style yoghurt which is creamier than normal yogurt.

- If your blender is not suitable for crushing ice, then you have to crush them first by putting the ice cubes into a plastic bag and crush roughly with a mortar or rolling pin.
- Choose mango that is fully ripen, sweet, fragrant and less fibrous. I used Thailand honey mangoes.
