Healthnut: As I'm using Tefal steamer, I don't use any lid to cover the egg mixture. I just wiped away any condensation appearing on the cover once or twice during steaming. There are a few ways you can prevent water dripping into the egg mixture during steaming (besides my method). You can wrap the pot/ steamer cover with a cloth or cover the egg mixture with lid (as per your suggestion) /cling wraps/ aluminium. Amongst them, I find my method works best for me as the steamed eggs always turns out smooth and silky (even my mother in law also gave me a thumb-up). Hehehe! Do share with me your outcome. ;)

Sharon: Hi, welcome to my kitchen! Tks a lot for your wonderful comments.

For your steamed eggs, how did you still it? Did you let any water sip/ drop on the dish when you opened the lid? Did you remove the dish immediately from the steamer once it was done? Try again and let me know the outcome. ;)

hi there, just came across your blog...lovely recipes you have here, and they all look so mouthwatering! i tried steaming eggs today, but the weird thing is, with the same amount of water and eggs used in your recipe, mine turned out nice, but with some water left still in the steaming tray...can you tell me what could have possibly went wrong? i'm still a student, and would like to learn simple recipes since i'm away from home...thanks a lot!
